Terms of Service

These terms apply when you create an account or use the appdata service at www.tryappdata.com. By signing up you agree to them.

The service

appdata is a hosted analytics dashboard that connects to third-party services (currently RevenueCat and App Store Connect) to display revenue, subscription, download, and end-user presence metrics for mobile apps you own. We also publish an optional live-presence SDK that you can embed in your apps to feed the live globe and counters in your dashboard.

Accounts

One account is for one person. Don't share login credentials — if you need multiple seats, use the Founder Squad plan. You're responsible for keeping your password and any API keys safe, and for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to sign up.

Payment and refunds

Paid plans are billed via Stripe in US dollars. We collect any applicable sales tax or VAT through Stripe Tax based on the billing address you provide. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period. Refunds outside of these terms are at our discretion — if something goes wrong, write to us and we'll do the right thing.

Free trial

New paid plans start with a 14-day free trial. You won't be charged until the trial ends. Cancel any time before then to avoid being billed.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize the appdata service to third parties.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of any part of the service, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
  • Use the service to violate any law or anyone else's rights, or to send malicious traffic to our infrastructure.
  • Submit credentials or data you don't have the right to use.

Your responsibilities for the SDK

If you embed the live-presence SDK in your app, you are responsible for the legal basis under which you collect data from your end-users. That includes obtaining whatever consent your jurisdiction requires (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and updating your own privacy policy to disclose that appdata acts as a sub- processor on your behalf. Our SDK is designed to collect no PII and no IP addresses, but the consent obligation still sits with you as the controller of the data.

Intellectual property

We own the appdata service — including the dashboard, SDK, source code, and brand. You retain ownership of everything you connect to us: your app data, your RevenueCat data, your App Store Connect data, and any content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that material solely to operate the service for you.

Suspension and termination

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or pose a security or legal risk to us or other customers. Where it's reasonable to do so, we'll give notice first. You can terminate your account at any time from account settings.

Disclaimer of warranties

appdata is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and the analytics it displays are best-effort summaries of data from third-party providers — not a financial record of truth.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event that gave rise to the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenue, even if advised of the possibility.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute is the state and federal courts located in Delaware.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material we will email account holders before it takes effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
