Privacy Policy

This is the plain-English version of how appdata handles your data and the data of people who use apps that have integrated our live-presence SDK. If anything here is unclear, reach us via the support link at the bottom.

Who we are

appdata is an analytics dashboard for mobile-app founders, operated at www.tryappdata.com. When we say "we" or "us" we mean the team behind appdata. When we say "you", we mean the person who creates an appdata account.

What we collect

We keep what we need to make the product work — nothing more.

  • Account email. Used to sign you in and send receipts.
  • Stripe billing data. Card details are handled by Stripe directly and never touch our servers; we only see subscription status, plan, and the last four digits of the card for invoicing.
  • App Store Connect and RevenueCat credentials. Encrypted at rest. We use them to read your own analytics back to you — never to write or to share with anyone else.
  • End-user data from the live-presence SDK. When you embed our SDK in your app, we collect a coarse country code, an opaque anonymous id generated on the device, and an optional avatar URL you choose to pass us. We explicitly do not store IP addresses, device identifiers, names, or any other personally identifying information.
  • Product usage. Basic page views and feature interactions inside the dashboard, so we know which charts are worth keeping.

How we use it

Account email and billing data are used to run your subscription and contact you about it. Your encrypted ASC and RevenueCat credentials are used to fetch analytics on your behalf and render them in your dashboard. SDK end-user data is used to show the live globe and counters that appear in your dashboard — the aggregate that customer A sees is built only from customer A's SDK pings. We do not sell, rent, or share any of this data with advertisers.

Who controls the data

For your account data (email, billing, integration credentials), you are the data subject and we are the data controller. For data collected from end-users of your app via our SDK, you are the controller and we act as your data processor — meaning you decide what to collect and you are responsible for obtaining whatever consent your local law requires before adding the SDK to your app.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small set of vendors to operate the service:

  • Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
  • Stripe — billing and tax calculation.
  • Vercel — hosting, CDN, and analytics.
  • Resend — transactional email.
  • RevenueCat — data source for subscription metrics (your data flows from RevenueCat to us, with your permission).

Retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your subscription is active. You can delete your account at any time from your account settings; doing so removes your profile, your integration credentials, and your analytics history within 30 days. SDK end-user data ages out automatically — presence pings older than 90 days are deleted.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK, or California, you have rights to access, correct, port, restrict, and delete your personal data, and to object to processing. We honor those rights for everyone regardless of where you live. To exercise any of them, get in touch through appdata.userjot.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in) and theme preference. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookie-less.

Children

appdata is built for app developers and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their data.

Updates

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects how we handle your data, we'll email account holders before the change takes effect. The "Effective" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
